This website is about arbitration in England & Wales (Scottish law is different). As I find it easier to “see” things as diagrams, that is my chosen format. Anyone who wants is free to consult this material, which is purely my own helpfile, which has taken me a very long time to put together. In England & Wales, the premier institution is the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. which has not approved this venture (but I’ve not asked).

These are interactive mindmaps. Hovering over any image, a hand will indicate that there is a link to be followed. Feel free to explore but there are alternative navigation alternatives. A sitemap can be reached from a logo near the top left corner on every page as can an abbreviated 1996 Act word index. At the top of each page, the parents are shown and the top level can be reached from the bottom of each page. Hopefully, people can find what they want.

Apart from arbitration coverage, practically the whole site, I have included material on my personal background, the assignments I would consider accepting (which is, of course, why I set up the site) and sistersites. There are also “what’s new” and “imagelaw” pages.

Some of the images are on the large side but I have sub-divided the material where I could. In order to make sure that page names make sense and are unique, they can be quite long, making the navigation bar on the left rather wide, sorry about that. Where a page name starts with a number, it will be concerned with the Arbitration Act that Parliament passed in that year (1950, 1979 or 1996). Otherwise, the page will be about arbitration in more general terms.

No guarantees are offered that the material is wholly accurate but I hope there is nothing too wrong. If there is, please tell me about it.
